Contest Entry: Ecalis

Guys I used the light pink for the fins, they are just half opacity. Cause their fins are supposed to be opaque. ^^U Hope thats okay~

I love these guys... would ya'll be interested in me actually using this as a species for adopts and stuff? 


Ecalis (pronounced S-ah-lis) are a little critter I had to make for Kuro-Creations contest. Round four woo~ xD

Other facts about them:
Eggs hatch after a month of them being laid.
They carry their young in small pouches on their bellies til they are 2 weeks of age. 
Their antenne are used for hunting 
Antenne are stingers [like jelly fish]
They pick up their eggs with their antenne, it doesn'thurt the pups. 
Its antenne glow in the dark.
They use their extra legs to hold things, often using them to make sure the eggs or young are in the pouch.
Their ears have a flap [the light pink thing] that covers the hole in their ear to keep water out. 
Its preyed on by bigger carnivorous creatures. 
Humans occationally keep them as pets if they have a large enough property for it.
Ecalis are shy creatures and it takes time to get them to warm up to you. 
There is no color specifications
